Most people who know me know that I am absolutely in love with Harry Potter (HP for short). I started reading the HP series after I saw the first movie. Once I starting reading them I couldn't stop. It just so happened that in high school and just after I worked at a movie theatre and I worked during the midnight showings for 2 of the HP movies. There is nothing like a midnight showing of a movie like HP (only thing I can compare it to was the midnight of Star Wars ep. 3). The last one that I was there for we had sold out 6 theatres (including Imax) and there was just this excitement in the air! My favorite part was when the lights would dim for the movie to start and the whole theatre would cheer and then once the opening title came up! It was so much fun to be a part of, especially as a fan. Now with the approaching release of HP6 I am so excited I can't stand it! I won't be going to the midnight, as much fun as it was to be a part of back then I'm old now and I need my sleep! But I will be going Wednesday or Thursday! And the best part is that I share my love with my husband and our roommate/friend Russell! We all read book 7 at the same time and we all gather around the computer to watch new trailers for HP6. It is a lovely bond the 3 of us have :) So I hope you all have had a great weekend! My nephew Zach turned 2 and I will post a blog later w/pics from his party! We too are lovers of H.P.!! We saw the movie and enjoyed it. It was our first time not going to the midnight showing because we too are old and tired! Love the books and sad that they had to come to an end.
